How to Play Scorpion
Seven columns hold the cards, some face-down. Build down in suit by moving a card together with every card on top of it — even out of order — onto a card one rank higher of the same suit.
Playing
- Place a card on the next-higher card of the same suit (a 9 of spades on a 10 of spades).
- When you move a card, every card above it moves with it, in whatever order.
- Only a King may move into an empty column.
- When you're stuck, deal the last three stock cards onto the first three columns.
Winning
Build four complete King-to-Ace suited runs to win.
Strategy & Tips
- Free your face-down cards early — turning them over is the key to progress.
- Think before moving; dragging buried cards can trap others underneath.
- Try to keep a column empty for maneuvering Kings.
- Hold the stock deal until you've made every other move.
